It started thousands of miles away, in a humble kitchen in Iran. A young man with a big laugh, a bigger heart, and a fire for food found his calling early. Over the years, Mr. Benji cooked his way through borders and continents—serving up meals in Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. By the time he landed in Canada with his wife, he had opened over 10 restaurants and built more than kitchens—he built communities.
